The HM Queen Sonja Art Foundation is dedicated to promoting graphic art and honouring international artists working within the field of fine art printmaking.
Three awards - the Queen Sonja Print Award, the QSPA Inspirational Award and the QSPA Lifetime Achievement Award - are presented every other year with the purpose of celebrating the excellence of artists at various stages in their career.
The QSPA exhibition space located in Bjørvika, the rising cultural hub of Oslo, is part of the foundation's mission to raise public awareness of and interest in graphic art.

The Swedish artist Maria Kayo Mpoyi is the winner of the QSPA Inspirational Award, a prize for an emerging Nordic artist – either a student or a recent graduate – that enables the winner to enjoy a period of study in New York. The Award was initiated by HM The Queen in memory of the artist Kjell Nupen.
